I have some trouble with that (the "it's not QA" bit). I mean, I agree that some/many companies have a broken idea of what QA is, but for me the problem is the way people do "Quality Assurance" (a pretty broad term, really), not that "QA" is not what companies should be doing.
But maybe it's too late and the term is too loaded now, and the best way forward is starting with a new term.
